Summary

Before the war, there was a girl….

Francesca Lucas finds herself in a new school, but this school is no ordinary school, and she is no ordinary girl. Francesca is a vampire, and her new school is the infamous Nightmare Academy. Rumors about the school and its purpose have circulated around the supernatural community for years, but now Francesca stands on
the school grounds, and is surrounded by supernatural creatures from around the world.

Vampires, werewolves, witches, warlocks, ghosts, demons. They all roam the halls as students, but not all is as it seems. Although she’s over a hundred years old, Francesca finds herself dealing with a supernatural/teenage hierarchy, with an elite group of vampires looking to show dominance over her. Not only that, but danger lurks around every corner, and Francesca doesn’t know who she can trust.

Yet Francesca has a secret. She has her own reason and purpose for being at Nightmare Academy. Yet twists and turns will complicate her own mission there, from an old enemy who will ignite a desperation for revenge, and shocking friendships that hold a spark Francesca hasn’t felt in decades.

What is Nightmare Academy, and what is it’s purpose? What dangers will Francesca face, and who can she trust? Find out in this exciting new YA Prequel to the hit
adult series “Nightmare Wars” by author Anthony Avina. Filled with action, horror, suspense and romance, this is a must read for any YA fans out there.

My review

5/5 Stars

A chilling tale about a new vampire and her adventure for revenge. There’s a bit of everything in this book from action, to horror, to romance. It’s short but quite an enjoyable read! I can’t wait to read the next book to see where the series goes.

Published by Author Kayla Krantz

Proud author responsible for Dead by Morning and The Council, fascinated by the dark and macabre. Stephen King is her all time inspiration mixed in with a little bit of Eminem and some faint remnants of the works of Edgar Allen Poe. When she began writing, she started in horror but it somehow drifted into thriller. She loves the 1988 movie Heathers. She was born and raised in Michigan but traveled across the country to where she currently resides in Texas.
