Summary

AIDEN

I don’t even look at women anymore. I’m so off love, I don’t date. The night of the Ice Ball everything changes. My best friend walks into a chill out bar with the hottest woman I’ve seen, ever. Hot enough to melt the ice in my soul.
I’ve lost everyone. I have a home I won’t go back to and a history I’d rather avoid.
I wasn’t prepared for Amber Evans, and in finding her, I found everything. Now, can I trust her to stay?

AMBER

I dreamt of a Disney princess type love, except in real life, everyone leaves, and happy ever after doesn’t exist.
Meeting Aiden is a happy accident. He burns through my reservations and exposes my raw need. I thought Aiden had a lot of walls around him, but it turns out I was the one running from love.
Neither of us knew that the answers to his questions were right in my office until I stumbled on the truth. If I’m helping save him can he still be my Prince Charming and this my Cinderella story?

This book contains scenes of a sexual nature. It is a low angst, no cheating, MF Romance

My review

5/5 Stars

Amber and Aiden are the perfect couple.

Both the characters are realistic and well-crafted with realistic backgrounds, thoughts, and feelings. Of the two of them, I felt for Amber’s struggle for love. All the dirtbag guys she deals with made me laugh, and when she saw Aiden at the Ball, I had the feeling that she would think the same kind of thoughts about him.

So I was surprised to see just how well these two characters kicked it off. With a story rich of twists and turns, realistic doubts, and plenty of drama, this is an addicting read I recommend to all romance fans.

Proud author responsible for Dead by Morning and The Council, fascinated by the dark and macabre. Stephen King is her all time inspiration mixed in with a little bit of Eminem and some faint remnants of the works of Edgar Allen Poe. When she began writing, she started in horror but it somehow drifted into thriller. She loves the 1988 movie Heathers. She was born and raised in Michigan but traveled across the country to where she currently resides in Texas.
