When fake romance meets real chemistry, there’s nothing to do but fall in love
One has been dumped
The other catfished
On these peculiar circumstances lay the foundation of their very fake relationshipÂ
William ‘Willy’ Hicks needs his family to stop playing matchmakers over the holidays. He has no intention of going through what he did last Christmas. Feeling like a medieval bride being looked over by potential suitors.
Ainsley Allen needs a buffer between him and his estranged parents for the holidays. His career as an androgynous model doesn’t exactly make things any easier between them.
Drawn to each other by similar circumstances, Will and Ainsley embark upon a fake relationship to make Christmas a little more tolerable. When the unexpected chemistry hits them, they have no option but to admit fake has become real. But for all his sass, Ainsley has layers Will must unwrap to reach the man behind all the attitude. And Will still has his own healing to do. But Christmas creates just the right condition for healing hearts, sweet kisses, new possibilities, and a puppy named Cotton.
Unwrapping Ainsley is a 50k+ novel featuring age-gap. It is the first book in the new Project Runway series.
My Review
4/5 Stars
When I first started reading this book, I wasn’t sure what to think. The more I read, I was pulled in by the ups and downs of the story, and before I knew it, it was over. I don’t really read holiday romances but this one was beautifully done.
In the beginning of the book, I felt bad for Ainsley because it was clear that his life hadn’t been an easy one. He had been used, neglected, and all he wanted was to find love. He went through a huge character growth going from that type of character to someone strong and in control of his life.
When Will eavesdrops on Ainsley’s conversation home, there is so much chemistry between the two characters, and I love how the author only managed to make this more so throughout the book.
Fantastic read for fans of M/M romance!
