My Review

4/5 Stars

I am new to this series, but I most certainly enjoyed this adventure of Gunter and his band of demon hunters. In this short story, they’re investigating the strange death of a mayor. People in the small town are dying when they go to sleep, and Gunter must rush to stop the demon responsible before the death toll grows too high.

The characters were well-written, each of them with their own little quirks which added to the story and the realism of it. There were points in the story where they actually came across as humorous which helped to balance out the gore of the scenes with the nightmare demon.

The narration was a perfect balance to the story.

This is a great listen for paranormal and horror fans.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Proud author responsible for Dead by Morning and The Council, fascinated by the dark and macabre. Stephen King is her all time inspiration mixed in with a little bit of Eminem and some faint remnants of the works of Edgar Allen Poe. When she began writing, she started in horror but it somehow drifted into thriller. She loves the 1988 movie Heathers. She was born and raised in Michigan but traveled across the country to where she currently resides in Texas.
