Title: Monstrous Benevolence (An Elemental Witch Trial Novel #13)
Author: Lucretia Stanhope
Fate. Evolution. Sacrifice.
Vaughn is next in line for harmony and overwhelmed by the idea that it will require the sacrifice of his soulmate. Rose plans to be there to support Jack while Vaughn endures the quest, but that means telling her family the truth about why she needs to spend the day in the basement with Sergei.
While Vaughn plots a way to survive the quest with his soul intact, Rose prepares to lose the love of her family. When light is shed on their secrets what will the price be?
I think my favorite part about this series is that with every installment, the author is able to take the characters to new heights, putting them in situations that raise the danger level from anything they’ve ever faced before. Rose has always been a favorite of mine in this world, and I loved to see her again in this book. For the readers who have followed this series since number one, this book will have you stumped. Rose definitely finds herself in this piece, her favoritism from Matvei strengthening. Her quest changes the entire face of relationships between vampires and witches. As always, beautifully written. Looking forward to the next one!
