Title: The Vodka Trail (The Trail Series #2)

Author: A.A. Abbott

Vodka to die for? A thriller with a killer twist!

Glamorous blonde Kat White ended up a penniless teenager marooned in London when her parents died in a foreign prison. She blames Marty Bridges, her father’s business partner, for their deaths.

A compelling crime thriller, each page sizzling with suspense, seduction, tension and twists.

My Review

5/5 Stars

In this book, we follow Kat as she tries to get the rights to the vodka factory her parents used to own. This requires an adventure to a dangerous location in the Soviet Republics. A character that she meets at the airport, Marty, becomes a bigger part of her life when it turns out that he is also after the vodka plant. As things spiral, Kat finds herself in danger as she fights for freedom as well as to keep what’s hers.

Plenty of tension and suspense. A cozy little thriller read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I was rooting for Kat from start to finish. She was both fiery and soft at times which I thought was an interesting combination. All the characters were fleshed out, even the bad guys.

I read book one, and it gave good background, but The Vodka Trail can be enjoyed as a standalone. Though I highly recommend you read both books!

I read the Kindle Unlimited version.

Proud author responsible for Dead by Morning and The Council, fascinated by the dark and macabre. Stephen King is her all time inspiration mixed in with a little bit of Eminem and some faint remnants of the works of Edgar Allen Poe. When she began writing, she started in horror but it somehow drifted into thriller. She loves the 1988 movie Heathers. She was born and raised in Michigan but traveled across the country to where she currently resides in Texas.
