My Review

5/5 Stars

At the beginning of this story, I have to say I wasn’t thrilled with Devan or Aditi though I understood where they were coming from. Their relationship was a perfect reflection, sadly, on the way that most relationships go nowadays. People have a tendency to lose interest in one another whether that be for material things or other people begs to differ.

The choice to reignite a relationship and work through the strains happens less and less. I was happy to see the arc of Devan and Aditi’s relationship though. Life through a lot at the two of them but the way they handled it was almost admirable.

The author put a lot of soul into this story. Even though its short, the characters are believable and so are the things that they are going through. In spite of everything, love can persevere.

Proud author responsible for Dead by Morning and The Council, fascinated by the dark and macabre. Stephen King is her all time inspiration mixed in with a little bit of Eminem and some faint remnants of the works of Edgar Allen Poe. When she began writing, she started in horror but it somehow drifted into thriller. She loves the 1988 movie Heathers. She was born and raised in Michigan but traveled across the country to where she currently resides in Texas.
